Samtec is seeking an Optics Test Engineer with a minimum of five years experience in microelectronic / microsystem / optical design or manufacturing industries. The Optics Test Engineer position will work out of one of the following locations:
The Samtec Microelectronics facility in Colorado Springs, CO (pay range $90 - $120k per year)
The Samtec Vista location in San Diego/Vista, CA (pay range $120 - $140k per year)
The salary range for this position is the range listed above per year plus applicable bonus and commensurate with experience. Samtec's generous benefits package includes medical (HSA/PPO) dental, vision, group life, AD&D, short- and long-term disability, EAP, 401K match, profit sharing, plus other voluntary options, as well as paid time off.Summary/Objective: The Optics Test Engineer is a self-motivated contributor, working with engineering groups at SAMTEC to develop and deliver optical product testing solutions for volume manufacturing. This position plans and executes the test development activities of assigned programs. They will ensure product test requirements are clearly defined, create plans to meet the requirements, assisting in roadmap development for continuous improvement. The Optics Test Engineer is the key point of contact for other groups on test development activities, until a manufacturable solution has been transferred to production, and then will continue to support on-going production as required.
