Job Overview The UI/UX Web Designer position is ideal for a creative and detail-oriented designer who not only creates engaging digital interfaces but also takes ownership of site optimization and administration. This position will be responsible for designing user-centered interfaces, managing SEO strategy and implementation, and handling key WordPress administrative functions to keep our websites running smoothly.
Job Structure Details - On-Site, Sioux Falls, SD (No remote option)

Responsibilities & Duties - Design and implement visually compelling, user-focused layouts using WordPress and modern front-end tools.
- Translate business goals and user needs into elegant UI/UX designs and interactive experiences.
- Use tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch to wireframe, prototype, and refine page designs.
- Perform WordPress admin duties such as plugin management, user roles, backups, site updates, and security checks.
- Own SEO strategy including on-page optimization, metadata, schema markup, page speed improvements, and keyword targeting.
- Conduct regular SEO audits and monitor performance using tools such as Google Search Console.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure seamless design-to-code implementation.
- Ensure accessibility, mobile-responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Stay current with UI/UX trends, SEO updates, and WordPress best practices.
- Other tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications & Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience in web or UI/UX design with a strong online portfolio.
- Proficiency with WordPress, including deep familiarity with admin functions and theme customization.
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
- Proven experience implementing and managing on-page SEO best practices.
- Knowledge of UX principles, usability testing, and accessibility standards.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using SEO and performance tools (Google Analytics, Search Console, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with WooCommerce, multisite, or membership platforms.
- Familiarity with hosting platforms, primarily WP Engine.
- Basic understanding of MySQL and server-side configuration.
- Exposure to analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tag Manager).
