**Finance & Accounting (Internship)** - **Army Fixed Wing Transport (LCS) Program - PMO Office Summer Intern** is a temporary / part-time role (not to exceed 14 weeks) under Amentum's Summer Internship Program. The Finance Intern will support operations in Huntsville, AL. This opportunity is ideal for students pursuing a degree in **Finance/Accounting,** or a related field, looking to gain real-world experience in a dynamic and mission-driven organization. **Intern Duties and Responsibilities:** + Assist with monthly financial reporting and analysis. + Support budgeting and forecasting processes in the Army Aviation Program Management office. + Will reconcile general ledger accounts. + Help with cost tracking, invoice processing and audit preparation. + Analyze financial data and present insights to contract team leadership. + Participate in cross-functional meetings and special projects within Army Aviation. + Ensure compliance with internal controls, Amentum policies, and procedures. + Other duties as assigned or requested. + Some travel may be required, upon request, up to 25%. **Intern Minimum Requirements:** + Intern must be currently enrolled in either a bachelor's or master's program in the field of Accounting and Finance, (or a related field at an accredited university). + Must have completed a minimum of **24 credit hours,** with a minimum **GPA of 2.8.** + Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite is required. + Excellent analytical and organizational skills are required, with the ability to work independently and/or in a team environment. + **Proof of U.S. Citizenshi** p (or Permanent Resident) is Required; (must be able to obtain and/or maintain a Valid US Passport). + Must be able to complete a U.S. Government background investigation to be hired for the summer opportunity. + Position may be Hybrid (Work location is **Huntsville, AL** .). **Preferred/Additional Qualifications:** + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office suite applications. + Knowledge of SharePoint Online and Power tools is desired. + Knowledge of standard office equipment operation is expected, (PC, telephone, printer, etc.). + Professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation. + Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others. **Physical Requirements / Work Environment:** + Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task. + Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). + May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs.
