Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at RouteSmart Technologies Inc. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software products through rigorous testing and analysis using both manual and automated test frameworks. This position will work closely with other QA staff, product managers and developers to meet quality objectives and make continuous improvements to maximize testing coverage and reduce manual testing.

This is a hybrid role, candidate must be able to commute to office in Melville, NY. Remote candidates in NY and MD will be considered.

The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $85,000-$110,000 per year. RouteSmart Technologies, Inc. has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the US and base pay will vary based on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with Product and Development teams to understand product and technical requirements of RouteSmart software and features.
  • Reviews and verifies requirements and design specifications for validity in overall product design, with an emphasis towards product testability and verification.
  • Contributes to the development of Quality Assurance test philosophies and methodologies. Identifies viable test strategies in order to support testing product functionality.
  • Develop manual and automation test cases and detail test scenarios and oversees their execution, tracking, and automation.
  • Ensures proper execution of regression test procedures and automated test suites and scripts.
  • Publishes detailed test strategies, test plans and test cases.
  • Act as an advocate for the end-users regarding design, and functionality needs of the application(s).
  • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3+ years as skilled software tester including automated test experience
  • Proficiency in Python/Selenium, PyTest, and the main libraries used in test automation
  • Intermediate JavaScript programming skills
  • Basic SQL knowledge
  • Experience testing both a web-based UI and backend APIs
  • Experience creating automated test cases and feature files, with a reusable and maintainable design
  • Preferred candidates have experience using Bitbucket and git
  • Passion for Quality Control
  • Highly organized individual with a great attention to detail
  • Software Testing Certification a plus
