Safe Haven Power is a locally owned Generac dealer specializing in standby generator sales, installation, and service across Greater Houston. We’re looking for an experienced Master Electrician —someone approaching retirement or recently retired—who would enjoy staying active in the trade without the full-time grind.

About the Role:
This flexible, part-time consulting position will provide oversight and technical guidance for unique residential and commercial generator installations. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled, detail-oriented professional who enjoys mentoring others, reviewing designs and bids, and ensuring projects meet code and industry best practices.

• Advise on bids and proposals for both residential and commercial generator projects.
• Review project scopes, drawings, and load calculations to confirm accuracy and compliance.
• Provide technical consultation to our team during planning and installation phases.
• Occasionally oversee on-site work for larger or more complex installations.
• Serve as a code and compliance resource , staying current with NEC updates and local jurisdictional requirements.
• Offer mentorship to team members and subcontracted electricians.

Ideal Candidate:

• Holds a current Texas Master Electrician License.
• 15+ years of experience in electrical systems and/or generator installations.
• Familiar with residential and commercial service entrance equipment, transfer switches, and standby power systems.
• Excellent communicator with practical problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working independently and advising on an as-needed basis.
• Looking for flexible, part-time, or consulting work.

Compensation: Hourly or per-project consulting rate commensurate with experience.
