MUSIC PROGRAM VISION STATEMENT:

The International School of San Francisco’s music program seeks to foster a love of music in our students, create opportunities for students to grow their skills and perform in front of a variety of audiences, and make music an integral part of our community events and experiences.

 

POSITION:

The Music director will oversee the maintenance and development of our programs by teaching music classes, overseeing and growing student music ensembles, collaborating with fellow music and arts teachers, producing music performance events, supporting music and sound in performing arts and other school events, and organizing space and equipment resources.

 

FOCUS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Producing and supporting events – including music concerts, other arts events, and key school community traditions (for instance, Graduation)
  • Teaching  middle and high school music classes, including instrumental classes
  • Growing middle and high school ensembles
  • Caring for, organizing, and overseeing space and equipment resources in the arts building
  • Supporting the Conservatory program of individual lessons and recitals in the lower school
  • Collaborating with the entire arts faculty on supporting arts education at the International School of San Francisco

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Minimum of 2 years teaching experience
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Experience producing music events and productions

 

Salary range for this position $66,404 - $110,975 depending on experience and qualifications.
