Job Description

Job Title: Human Resources Manager

The Human Resources Manager will perform all functions associated with recruiting and maintaining staffing levels. This role involves managing performance management and training development initiatives, formulating and overseeing employee policies, advising staff and supervisors on performance management issues, overseeing employee benefit programs, and planning, coordinating, and implementing training programs. Additionally, the manager will handle unit safety programs, including workers' compensation administration, and perform unit communication activities.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and maintain staffing levels.
• Manage performance management and training development initiatives.
• Formulate and oversee employee policies.
• Advise staff and supervisors on performance management issues.
• Oversee employee benefit programs.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement training programs.
• Manage unit safety program including workers' compensation administration.
• Perform unit communication activities.
• Carry out other duties as directed, which may be outside the scope of core responsibilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business from an accredited college or university.
• Six to eight years of related experience.
• Ability to perform intermediate PC functions, including spreadsheet formulas and functions, queries, tables, merges, and special reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Lotus, as well as Internet use.
  
  

Work Environment

The work environment involves moderate noise levels. There may be occasional exposure to dirt, dust, and conditions of high heat and humidity.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of West Des Moines, IA.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $135000.00/yr.

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in West Des Moines,IA.
