About the Role
We are hiring a MEP Designer for our direct client. This role involves designing and drafting efficient, cost-effective plumbing systems for a variety of projects, including multi-family, commercial, institutional, and light industrial facilities. The position is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in plumbing system design and a passion for engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and draft plumbing systems for residential, commercial, and light industrial projects.
  • Create efficient plumbing layouts and specifications for multi-family and institutional facilities.
  • Select, size, and specify plumbing fixtures, drains, and equipment based on project requirements.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop and maintain project work plans.
  • Ensure compliance with design schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Assist in coordinating designs with other disciplines, including HVAC and electrical.
  • Review plumbing system designs for accuracy, efficiency, and code compliance.
  • Utilize software tools such as AutoDesk Revit MEP to produce detailed designs and drawings.

Key Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in designing and drafting plumbing systems for residential, commercial, institutional, or light industrial projects.
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology is a plus.
  • Proficiency in AutoDesk Revit MEP and strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork.
  • Solid understanding of plumbing system components, including fixtures, piping, and drainage.
  • Knowledge of building codes, standards, and plumbing system regulations.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
