• Understand how various payers work in long-term care.
• Manage the billing and collection of resident accounts from various types of payers.
• Communicate by phone with various payers to resolve claim payment issues.
• Work with insurance companies and provider representatives to resolve payment issues.
• Communicate payment or denial issues to leadership.

• Nursing home billing experience in the last 5 years preferred.
• Must be detail oriented, organized, and dedicated to meeting deadlines.
• Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work remotely and communicate effectively through Teams, text, and phone. Work as a team member remotely offering to assist others to even out the workload.
• Ability to work with skilled nursing staff professionally.
• Ability to work with clinical staff regarding claims issues.
• Ability to meet deadlines and timely filing limits for various payers.
• Experience in long-term care setting preferred but not required.
• Experience in the use of Matrix, Excel, Outlook, and Word preferred.
• Salary is negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
