Our team is responsible for ensuring the effective use of the Medical Expense & Performance Reporting System (MEPRS), Defense Medical Information System Identifiers (DMIS ID), and the Defense Medical Human Resource System-internet (DMHRSi) Labor Cost Accounting (LCA) System.

As a member of the Cost Accounting Branch, your primary responsibilities will include evaluating MEPRS reporting programs, practices, and policies across the Military Health System (MHS). MEPRS serves as a comprehensive data source, aggregating uniform manpower, expense, and workload data from military medical and dental treatment facilities.

Process financial data from both the GFEBS and DEAMS/CRIS systems in accordance with MEPRS guidelines.
Handle MHS GENESIS file processing and manual data entry, ensuring compliance with fiscal year processing and submission dates.
Attend DHA MEPRS meetings and conferences, contributing to ongoing discussions and site visits.
Review and analyze metrics for the accuracy and variance of MEPRS personnel, workload, and financial data.
Provide feedback on data variances identified through the MEPRS Early Warning and Control System (MEWACS).
Collaborate with MTF representatives to address data reporting concerns.
Support quality improvement initiatives by applying quality tools to enhance customer service processes.
Conduct critical reviews and quality control on all products, including reports, memorandums, and meeting minutes.
Prepare and present various documents, including letters, summary sheets, and spreadsheets, using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Develop detailed quantitative and qualitative analyses and reports of MEPRS data upon request, utilizing EAS IV application/repository, DMHRSi, and other MHS systems.
Qualifications:

Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science, healthcare, accounting, mathematics, statistics, business, or a related field is required. Alternatively, a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

Experience:

At least one year of experience at the MTF, intermediate command, or Service Agency level working with the MEPRS program, EAS application, and data quality management tools.
Familiarity with systems such as GFEBS, DMHRSi, and MHS GENESIS is preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, including creating VB macros, pivot tables, and functions.
Additional Qualifications:

Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
