Our growing Events division in Palm Springs, CA is looking for an energetic, sharp and savvy Events Coordinator. The right candidate will be a team player able to work effectively in a high-pressure, dynamic environment utilizing strong support skills including MS Office and Sales software system. Excellent phone and interpersonal skills needed. Event and marketing experience is required and candidate must live in or relocate to the general Palm Springs area.

The special events coordinator is responsible for planning and organizing large scale events as well as boutique style events.
Special Events Coordinator Job Duties: · Pre-event and onsite communication with delegates.
· Build relationship with various departments (marketing, sales, editorial, and accounting).
· Source venues, engage catering and other needed providers.
· Work closely with marketing department to define event goals, objectives, and specific implementation plans.
· Maintain weekly event ticketing reports and provide analysis as needed.
· Maintain a calendar of events and implement a system that enables and anticipates long-term planning and effective event management.
· Establish communication protocols and operating procedures with planning team and program staff.
· Determine budget requirements and prepare budgetary recommendations.
· Establish staff schedules and task assignments for various events.
· Acquire supporting technology and coordinate development of materials to execute quality of event.
· Work closely with sponsorship team to ensure sponsorship arrangements are successfully executed.
· Prepares contractual agreements for sponsors in accordance with company policy.
· Develop and execute necessary follow-up with sponsors and
Palm Springs Life client groups.
· Trouble-shoot and smooth issues relating to the successful execution of the event program.
· Ensure speakers are briefed and prepared to provide effective presentations and materials.
· Conduct post-event debriefing sessions with team.
· Provide post-event analysis, budget recaps and participant feedback as well as incorporate learnings into future plans.
· Propose new ideas to improve the event planning and implementation process.

Job Requirements: · Excellent writing and verbal skills
· Ability to influence and coordinate the efforts of other team members in support of events.
· Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
· Must have ability to learn new software and ticketing platform.
· Demonstrated experience working in events or marketing team environment.
· Ability to develop professional relationships in all aspects of that positions that result in stable, consistent, reliable, and courteous communication.
· Ability to problem solve and work independently in a changing and multi-tasking environment with numerous deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
