ActioNet has an opportunity foraBackup/Recovery Engineer Junior (JR), this role isremote and based in Suitland, MD.

Job Description:

• Apply expertise as a generalist or specialist to solve complex problems requiring ingenuity and creativity.
• Perform work with some direction; reviewed for desired results from a long-term perspective.
• Support decisions that help the organization achieve critical objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily activities related to the configuration and operation of systems (mainframe, mini, or client/server based).
• Support system optimization and resource utilization.
• Perform system capacity analysis and planning.
• Provide assistance to users in accessing and using business systems.

Requirements:

• Education: Associate degree
• Experience: 1 year of technical experience in IT, including:
  • Microcomputers, DOS, and Windows operating systems
  • Office application suites (word processors, spreadsheets, presentation applications, and databases)
  • Client-server applications
• Experience providing daily user support for hardware and software issues over the phone and in person.
• Ability to respond to user trouble tickets based on established Service-Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Proficient with common helpdesk software applications to track trouble tickets, histories, and problem resolution.
• Experience assisting users with installation and configuration issues related to supported software and hardware, as well as general network access.
