As a Workplace Designer, you'll create digital 3D models of your client's workspace while outfitting them with ergonomic product solutions tailored to their needs. Using these models, you'll develop stylish and compelling proposal packages that showcase your design concepts. These packages will include detailed renderings and thoughtfully curated product selections, providing the Sales Associate with powerful visual aids to support client discussions. Your role will involve selecting and arranging furniture pieces that align with the client's vision and space requirements, ensuring a seamless transition from concept to implementation. You'll work closely with the Sales team to meet deadlines and exceed client expectations. Our team currently uses CET software, and we provide on-the-job training for the right candidate.

Required Qualifications

  • Background in Interior Design or Design related field proven via digital portfolio
  • Must be comfortable with a multiple project workload, while adhering to individual project timelines
  • Communicate, both verbally and written, in a friendly, professional, and empathetic manner
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting commercial floor plans, with the ability to identify and extract necessary information
  • Familiarity with industry-specific design software (Configura CET, AutoCAD Revit layouts, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in design related field (Interior Design, Architecture, Engineering, or related field). Relevant certifications are a plus
  • Familiarity with designing to state and federal requirements, such as ADA, ANSI and IBC codes
  • Experience with modular furniture design, specification and installation plans
  • Experience in client satisfaction and relationship management
  • Strong problem-solving skills, using creativity to ensure functional and aesthetically pleasing solutions for unique client needs

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate directly with Sales to understand client office furniture design needs and space requirements
  • Refine design concepts based on direct or relayed client feedback
  • Develop innovative office furniture layouts that optimize space, align with client goals, and meet industry standards
  • Create detailed 2D and 3D renderings of proposed layouts, showcasing furniture placement, traffic flow, and material selections
  • Recommend furniture options and configurations that balance client desires with budget constraints, offering alternatives when necessary
  • Prepare proposal packages, including detailed specifications, material finishes, and quantity estimates, for client review
  • Overcome challenges, especially when faced with spatial limitations, providing creative solutions that maintain functionality and style
  • Monitor multiple project timelines simultaneously, ensuring that all deliverables are completed on time and to the highest quality standards
  • Provide post-project support as needed for clients who wish to adjust or reconfigure their space after final installation

  • Compensation: $24 hourly + commission

  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm, 40 hours per week
