## **About the Role**

We are looking for a **self-directed, highly skilled, and proactive Video Editor** who can create high-performing content for a **personal founder brand** and a **skin/e-commerce product line**.

Your biggest value in this role is your ability to **think for yourself**, make creative decisions without being micromanaged, and continuously learn modern editing, storytelling, and direct response techniques.

The goal: **give the founder real leverage** by taking raw assets and turning them into polished videos that drive growth, engagement, and sales — consistently.

You should understand that great editing is not just technical — it’s strategic. You’ll be repurposing long-form content, building stories, improving the hook, and adding direct-response angles that make the content banger-level.

## **Key Responsibilities**

* Edit high-quality short-form videos for Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
* Independently identify the best clips, hooks, and angles to use without needing step-by-step instructions.
* Take talking-head footage and turn it into dynamic, high-retention videos.
* Clip, repurpose, and format podcast segments for short-form distribution.
* Review raw assets and **proactively recommend** stronger edits, storylines, or pacing.
* Build and follow direct response–style scripts when provided.
* Add captions, animations, and transitions using modern editing trends.
* Edit both **personal brand storytelling videos** and **product-focused e-commerce content**.
* Apply (or learn quickly) direct response marketing principles: hooks, pattern interrupts, CTAs, audience psychology.
* Ensure high-quality English for captions, text, and storytelling.
* Manage your own workflow, meet deadlines, and maintain consistent weekly output.

## **Qualifications**

* 2+ years of short-form video editing experience.
* Strong portfolio showing both personal brand and/or e-commerce editing.
* Proven ability to **take ownership** of edits without constant supervision.
* Excellent command of English for captions and storytelling.
* Understanding of modern content pacing, trends, and retention strategies.
* Experience creating content for founders, influencers, or DTC brands is a plus.
* Willing to learn direct response marketing and apply it to edits.
* Strong instinct for storytelling, hooks, pacing, and viewer psychology.
* Organized, reliable, and output-driven.
