Job Description

Hospital Director at Hometown Veterinary Partners

Are you a natural leader with a passion for creating exceptional workplaces and delivering top-tier veterinary care? At Hometown Veterinary Partners , we’re looking for a dynamic and driven Hospital Director to help shape the future of our hospitals. As a key player in our leadership team, you’ll have the opportunity to make your mark, fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and community while ensuring that our hospital runs smoothly and successfully. You’ll report directly to the President and be empowered to lead your team to new heights – all while building a veterinary practice that stands out in the community.

Culture

What You’ll Do:

  • Create a work environment that’s supportive, engaging, and focused on collaboration.
  • Use your strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills to maintain a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Lead the hiring, training, and development of medical staff to ensure the hospital is a place where everyone thrives.
  • Guide new team members through onboarding, training them on workflows and systems to help them succeed.
  • Work with the team to solve operational and cultural challenges, improving efficiency and the overall work environment.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and develop best practices that drive growth and sustainability.
  • Lead by example and promote a culture of well-being, productivity, and job satisfaction.

Community

  • Drive client engagement and develop strategies to keep our clients coming back – because great care deserves to be recognized.
  • Ensure every client interaction is exceptional, and their experience with us leaves them feeling heard and cared for.
  • Manage community outreach efforts and help build strong, lasting relationships with local organizations and causes.
  • Be the face of Hometown Veterinary Partners in the community by leading marketing initiatives – whether that’s on social media, at local events, or through creative content.

Collaboration

  • Work with the leadership team to continuously improve the practice environment for everyone: the care team, the clients, and the pets we serve.
  • Leverage the talent and experience of your support staff to ensure the hospital is running at its best.
  • Serve as the glue that binds the healthcare team together, ensuring everyone is aligned around providing high-quality, compassionate care.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and ensure the hospital adheres to all federal and state regulations and licensing requirements.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and compliance that’s rooted in the latest healthcare initiatives.

Skills & Abilities

  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: You’re motivated, adaptable, and have a knack for growing businesses – especially in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership: You know how to lead with confidence, inspire teams, and encourage collaboration to get the best out of your people.
  • Communication: You can connect with people at all levels, from the veterinary team to clients, and make sure everyone is heard and understood.
  • Organization: Your time-management skills are top-notch, and you thrive in environments where no detail is too small to be overlooked.
  • Business Acumen: You understand what it takes to run a successful veterinary hospital – from managing budgets to driving long-term growth.
  • Tech-Savvy: You’re comfortable with veterinary management software and other tools that help the hospital run efficiently.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: You’re well-versed in industry regulations and standards, and you know how to keep the hospital compliant.

Education, Experience & Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent (but you probably knew that).
  • 3-5 years of management experience, ideally in a leadership or operations role.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the veterinary industry is preferred but not required.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary with opportunities for bonus and equity growth.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) for both part-time and full-time team members, including vacation, sick, personal, and holiday leave.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance because your health matters.
  • Telemedicine services – treat your patients from anywhere!
  • Wellness resources to support your mental and emotional well-being.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for those “life happens” moments.
  • Life and disability insurance for peace of mind.
  • Health Savings Account (HSA) and pet insurance because we know how much your pets mean to you.
  • 401(k) plan to help you save for your future.
  • Continuing Education (CE) allowance to keep you on top of the latest industry trends.
  • Opportunity for growth – we believe in promoting from within.
  • Flexible schedules so you can maintain a healthy work-life balance.

At Hometown Veterinary Partners , we’re committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment where all team members can thrive. We believe in equal opportunity for all and welcome applicants from all backgrounds, experiences, and identities. We’re excited to meet you!
