Job Description
Step into a transformative travel opportunity as an Occupational Therapist in Vermont, Newport, where your expertise will empower patients, families, and communities. This specialty-focused assignment invites you to lead with compassion and evidence-based practice, integrating OT across diverse settings and patient populations. Begin on 12/15/2025, with multi-week contracts that guarantee 36.0 hours per week, and a competitive weekly pay range of 2,241 to 2,396 USD. This is more than a job—it's a chance to shape outcomes, sharpen your clinical acumen, and grow within the OT specialty while experiencing the beauty and character of Vermont’s landscapes and the broader opportunities across the U.S. You’ll join a program that values your hands-on expertise and your vision for clients’ independence, with support that extends far beyond the traditional assignment.
Located in Newport, Vermont, you’ll enjoy a community perched on the edge of Lake Memphremagog, offering stunning water views, boating, easy access to hiking and winter sports, and a pace that supports thorough, patient-centered care. This assignment also opens doors to placements in other locations across the United States, exposing you to a spectrum of care environments—from small-town clinics to larger hospital systems. The combination of Newport’s serene, scenic charm and the excitement of exploring new locales provides a balanced backdrop for professional growth and personal well-being. Whether you’re savoring summer lake days or autumn foliage excursions, you’ll discover that the state’s natural beauty can complement your clinical focus and keep you motivated to deliver exceptional OT service every day.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will be robust and varied, designed to enhance your clinical skills and your capacity to impact daily living. You’ll conduct comprehensive OT evaluations, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and coordinate interventions across acute care, outpatient, SNF, and home health settings. Expect to address activities of daily living, upper-extremity rehabilitation, dexterity and fine motor skills, sensory integration, and assistive device prescription and training. You’ll lead therapy sessions, document progress in the EHR, communicate with families and caregivers, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rehab teams to optimize discharge planning and home modification recommendations. The role is structured to promote professional growth within the OT specialty—opportunities for specialty certifications, mentorship from seasoned clinicians, access to continuing education credits, and pathways to lead OT roles or program development responsibilities. We emphasize evidence-based practice, patient advocacy, and the chance to tailor interventions to diverse populations, from pediatrics to adults, ensuring you develop a broad, resilient skill set.
From a benefits perspective, you’ll find a compelling package that supports your financial and professional goals. In addition to the guaranteed hours, the role features a sign-on bonus and housing assistance to ease relocation and on-site living needs. The contract offers extension opportunities, giving you the option to deepen your impact through ongoing assignments or to transition into longer-term opportunities aligned with your interests. A dedicated travel support team provides 24/7 assistance throughout every step of your journey—from pre-travel coordination to on-site onboarding and post-assignment wrap-up. We strive to minimize hassles so you can focus on delivering high-quality care, building rapport with patients and families, and integrating into each community you serve.
Our company values are reflected in every interaction, prioritizing empowerment, collaboration, and a culture that elevates your career. We commit to creating a supportive work environment where your expertise is respected, your professional development is nurtured, and your voice informs program evolution. You’ll experience ongoing opportunities for leadership, peer learning, and cross-site collaboration that broaden your perspective, reinforce best practices, and accelerate your advancement within the field of occupational therapy. The emphasis on mentorship, transparent feedback, and accessible resources demonstrates our dedication to your success and well-being, both professionally and personally.
If you’re an OT who envisions making a measurable difference in patients’ independence and quality of life, this is your invitation to join a travel program that values your contribution and invests in your growth. Embrace the chance to explore Vermont’s scenic locales and the broader U.S. healthcare landscape, collaborate with diverse teams, and develop a richer, more versatile practice. Apply today to begin your journey on 12/15/2025, secure a role that aligns with your clinical goals, and experience a career path that respects your dedication and fuels your development. This is your moment to contribute meaningfully, grow professionally, and be part of a company that stands beside you every step of the way.
Note: Final compensation packages and guaranteed hours will be confirmed during the hiring process.
