We seek candidates who will bring to the position enthusiasm for the teaching of literature and writing and a commitment to fostering an equitable and inclusive learning environment for all students in the classroom. The department values the study of literature through close reading, and we have a strong writing program that seeks to develop students’ critical writing skills, as well as their own voices as writers. Candidates with literature and/or creative writing backgrounds are encouraged to apply. We are particularly interested in early career teachers who seek the opportunity to work within an experienced, collegial department, with a structured mentorship program. We seek candidates who will support the department's ongoing work to diversify and expand our curricular offerings.
