The Crown Is Yours Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity to get a firsthand experience with our fast-paced Finance team, and to help reshape reporting and analytics across two key areas of Corporate Treasury and Tax.
Our Treasury team oversees the activities and processes involved in managing corporate and customer money. This includes tasks like cash flow forecasting, cash investing, risk assessment, banking relationship management and day-to-day cash positioning. Our goal is to ensure there are sufficient funds to meet our short-term and long-term obligations, minimize financing costs, and maximize return on investment.
Our Tax Team manages corporate and player reporting taxes across the business. We work cross-functionally across several groups, including Finance, Customer Experience, Treasury, and Human Resources to make forecasts as accurate as possible.
What you'll learn:
- Treasury management for a high growth company, including daily cash operations, payment processing and long-term capital management strategy
- Tax accounting and compliance skills for a public company, including quarterly reporting, cash tax forecasting, and tax return preparation
What you'll do:
- Monitor bank balances and assist with tracking and reporting our cash position.
- Assist with month-end and quarter-end closing process and reporting.
- Analyze banking fees and explore opportunities to reduce fees and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate across with Finance on treasury-related process improvements and operational projects.
- Research and analyze tax law and regulations and their impact on DraftKings
- Assist in the review of the tax components of the 10-Q filing
- Assist with tax planning strategies, such as deductions, credits, and deferrals.
- Research and analyze tax implications of various business transactions and investments.

The US hourly rate for this full-time position is 16.00 USD - 20.00 USD, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
