Description Robert Half is partnering with a well-established public accounting firm in Oceanside, CA to find a knowledgeable and client-focused Tax Accountant. This role is ideal for a licensed CPA or EA who enjoys working with individuals and small businesses on tax planning, compliance, and financial reporting. You'll be part of a collaborative team that values accuracy, client service, and continuous learning. Key Responsibilities: + Prepare and review a variety of tax returns including 1040, 1065, 1120S, and 1041 + Conduct tax planning and advisory services for individuals and small businesses + Respond to IRS and state tax notices and assist clients with resolution + Provide bookkeeping support and monthly financial reporting for clients + Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations + Communicate with clients to gather documentation and explain tax positions + Assist with year-end tax projections and estimated payments + Collaborate with team members on workflow and client deliverables Requirements + CPA or EA certification required + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field + Minimum 2 years of tax preparation and accounting experience + Proficiency in QuickBooks and tax software (e.g., Lacerte, ProSeries, or Drake) + Strong understanding of tax codes and compliance requirements + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Ability to manage multiple client accounts and meet deadlines + Experience with small business accounting and advisory is a plus Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
