Position Summary
The System Administrator responsibilities will include administrating, maintaining, developing and implementing policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of AFRL/RQ systems, servers, and databases.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, develop and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of systems servers and databases.
• Install new software releases and system upgrades.
• Evaluate and install patches to resolve software related problems.
• Implement and resolve database backup issues.
• Capable of learning and understanding how the developed and commercial applications interact with the operating system and database to ensure proper integration, upgrades and patching.
• Minimize disruption to application function and operation.
• Provide users with technical support and assistance.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within systems administration and database administration.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor`s degree or greater in computer or information science or related field
• 10+ Years of Experience
• Security+ CE

• Windows Server 2012+
• MS IIS Server
• DISA STIGS
• MS SQL Server 2008+
• Cold Fusion Application Server +
• Virtualization
• Sybase SQL Anywhere ORACLE/APEX
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with DoD and USAF systems
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Position requires sitting, for long periods of time. (Sedentary Work)
• Most duties require extended use of a keyboard and computer monitor
• Extended Telephone Use
• May require lifting of 20-50 lbs
