Substitute Child Nutrition Worker – Albertville City Schools (Alabama)

Spur, a digital staffing agency , seeks  dedicated and reliable Substitute Child Nutrition Workers to support Albertville City Schools .

Position Overview

The ideal candidate will be hardworking, punctual, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced food service environment while following school and Spur guidelines. This role involves preparing, serving, and maintaining food service operations under the cafeteria manager's or designated supervisor's supervision. Candidates must demonstrate a professional demeanor and a positive attitude while interacting with students, staff, and the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and arrange food and beverages for safe and efficient serving.
• Clean utensils, equipment, food storage, preparation, and serving areas .
• Inspect food items and supplies to verify quantity and health compliance.
• Maintain a friendly and welcoming dining environment for students and staff.
• Conduct inventory of food, condiments, and supplies to ensure availability.
• Assist in maintaining food service equipment .
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding student records.
• Perform other duties as assigned .
• Must be able to lift or move objects up to 65 lbs .

Requirements

• Prior food service experience preferred.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude .
• Ability to work efficiently and professionally in a school cafeteria setting.
• Must maintain a punctual and professional appearance .

Qualifications

• Must obtain a State of Alabama Background Check ($48.00).
• Required online training .

Compensation & Schedule

• $15.00 per hour .
• Work hours: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 2:00 PM (varies by location).
