We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Buyer to join our growing procurement team. As a Buyer, you will be responsible for managing the acquisition of steel products to support our manufacturing operations, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. This role is crucial in maintaining efficient supply chain operations and requires a strategic mindset and strong negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans for steel products to meet production needs.
- Evaluate suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure advantageous terms.
- Monitor market trends to stay updated on price changes and emerging suppliers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast requirements and optimize inventory levels.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards.
- Resolve any issues related to supply, quality, or delivery discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on purchasing activities, costs, and performance metrics.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure long-term collaboration and partnership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in purchasing or supply chain management, preferably in the steel industry.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions quickly.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
