Position Description:

GCON is looking for a Sr. Superintendent with a highlighted focus on data center, mission critical and manufacturing projects. As superintendent, you will serve as an onsite point person/customer liaison and responsible person for every project you are assigned to. You will oversee all day-to-day operations and ensure safety on the job site, while leading constructability review teams and implementing continuous improvement practices to achieve excellence in all project aspects.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively build complex and large-scale datacenter, mission critical project(s) upwards of $250M+.
  • Mentor project teams about building systems, construction sequences, and risk mitigation, and be recognized as a go-to person for solving related issues.
  • Work with trade contractor management to resolve manpower, schedule, quality, and safety issues.
  • Review Conceptual Drawings/Narratives and provide constructability input to influence design.
  • Manage all aspects of day-to- day work on jobsites of concurrent, complex, and large-scale projects efficiently.
  • Ensure that all phases of work are pre-planned, scheduled in advanced prior to starting, and closed out correctly.
  • Demonstrate advanced financial capabilities, including budgeting, forecasting, monitoring, and advising on financial performance for projects over $100 million.
  • Establish and manage departmental or project budgets with overall responsibility for schedule, budget, quality, safety, and client relationships in the absence of a Project Manager.
  • Establish, lead, and execute temporary HVAC, power plans, and other temporary measures to deliver projects safely and on time.
  • Lead and manage constructability review teams, collaborating with key stakeholders to provide an effective quality control program.
  • Responsible for all aspects of safety on a jobsite (documenting issues, enforcement, prevention & training). Perform safety walks daily and record observations on safety inspection checklists.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of relevant site management experience on ground up commercial and/or datacenter projects.
  • 7+ years’ experience leading and managing the build process for data center projects.
  • Mastery of P6 to build project schedules.
  • Solid grasp of CPM scheduling programs, construction documents, plans and specifications.

  • Speech: Sufficient to make oneself heard in person, speak in front of groups, and be understood over the telephone and radio
