What You'll Be Doing:
Build cutting-edge container images: Develop scalable and high-performance container images for open-source applications.
Automate CI/CD processes: Work on automated systems for building, testing, and publishing container images.
Security and compliance: Write tools and tests to assess security and ensure compatibility with cloud-native environments.
Work with Go: Use Go to develop new features for container-building tools.
Collaborate and mentor: Participate in code reviews, provide technical feedback, and help mentor junior team members.
Engage with the community: Act as a subject-matter expert, contributing to open-source initiatives and growing the knowledge base.
Agile work environment: Thrive in a globally distributed, collaborative, and agile setting.
Travel opportunities: Enjoy global travel for internal team events and external engagements (up to 15%).
What We're Looking For:
Strong development skills: Experience with Go and a solid understanding of software development best practices.
Containerization expertise: Knowledge of container images and operations, and proficiency with tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
CI/CD experience: Familiarity with CI/CD systems like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Concourse CI.
Linux systems: Experience with Linux systems administration and package management.
Communication: Strong written and verbal skills to clearly convey technical concepts and contribute to team discussions.
Collaborative mindset: Experience working in teams and sharing knowledge with colleagues.
Education: A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, STEM, or a related field.
