Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Shop Helper responsible for setting up, monitoring, and operating CV line/s and other pieces of equipment under direct supervision associated with the manufacturing facility requirements.

Job Description

• As a Shop Helper - Tape Head, you will be responsible for:
  • Setting up, monitoring, and operating CV line/s and other pieces of equipment under direct supervision associated with the manufacturing facility requirements
  • Performing Tape Head operation, cleaning, and general setup, which includes loading and unloading products and devices in the Work Center
  • Following safety guidelines and quality standards, including Job Safety Analysis (JSA), production schedule, setup instructions, and quality specs
  • Performing quality assurance activities required by manufacturing/engineering specifications, quality assurance, and ISO requirements
  • Training and assisting other employees as necessary
  • Develop individual skills and collaborate with other functions to complete projects for the tape line.
  • Following verbal and written instructions, maintaining accurate records, and performing other duties as required

Skills Required

• Have 1 year of minimum previous manufacturing or shop experience
• Be able to read and interpret routine instructions
• Be able to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Have good mechanical aptitude, use of general hand tools, and precision measuring equipment
• Have good communication skills, safety oriented, and a team player
• Be flexible and possess the ability to follow work center guidelines
• Technical Skills:
  • Hand tools, measurement tools, read and interpret routine instructions, perform basic mathematical calculations, good mechanical aptitude, use of general hand tools and precision measuring equipment
• Soft Skills:
  • Good communication skills, safety oriented, team player

• English-proficient

 

Education/Training/Certifications

• Have a High School Diploma or GED

 

Additional Requirements

• Steel-toe boots required
• Schedule:
  • Mon to Fri, 8 hour shift
  • 1 st Shift 5:00 am – 1:30 pm; 2 nd Shift 1:00 pm – 9:30 pm; 9:00 am – 5:30 pm depending on needs.
  • Should be open to work different shifts as needed

Pay Rate/Salary

• $19.00/hr.
