We are hiring a Radiation Therapist to support the Radiation Oncology department at Providence Health under a 13-week travel contract. This role involves direct patient care in the delivery of radiation treatments using external beam therapy and advanced treatment planning systems. First-time travelers are welcome. The facility uses Epic for charting and prefers candidates with experience in Eclipse or Pinnacle systems. Local applicants are accepted, and call-offs may occur once per two-week pay period.

• Deliver prescribed external beam radiation therapy (EBRT) in accordance with physician orders.

• Prepare patients for treatment, including setup, immobilization, and use of shielding devices.

• Perform pretreatment imaging (CBCT/kV/mV) and ensure alignment accuracy.

• Support tumor localization and beam modification procedures (e.g., wedges, blocks, custom shields).

• Calculate and verify dose parameters using treatment planning systems.

• Chart and document procedures in Epic EHR.

• Maintain safety protocols including ALARA, isolation precautions, and emergency response readiness.

• May be required to float between like units as needed.

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year recent clinical radiation therapy experience

• First-Time Travelers: Accepted

• Certifications Required:

  • ARRT (T)

  • BLS (American Heart Association)

• Charting System: Epic Required

• Floating: May float between like units

• Block Scheduling: Considered at manager's discretion

• Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off 1 shift per two-week pay period

• RTO Policy: Must be included at the time of submission

• Pending License: Not accepted

• Locals Accepted: Yes

• Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Program

• Experience:

  • At least one year of clinical experience in radiation therapy

  • Strong familiarity with patient immobilization and image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT)

• License:

  • ARRT (T) certification Active

  • Washington State Radiation Therapy License Required

  • BLS (AHA)

• Skills:
