We are seeking a flexible and dedicated Per Diem Licensed Pharmacist to join our team onsite in New Jersey. This position offers variable hours based on business needs, with a typical schedule of:
Sunday – Thursday: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM EST
Occasional First Shift Coverage: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM EST
Work hours may range from 8 to 40 hours per week depending on availability and site coverage needs, including support during FMLA leaves and per diem staffing gaps.
Responsibilities:
Accurately verify prescriptions and prescription data entered into the pharmacy system
Supervise pharmacy technicians and inventory personnel
Manage workload efficiently while adhering to department standards and timelines
Perform final quality checks before medications are packed and shipped
Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
Support quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
Handle totes weighing between 5–10 lbs
Operate in a primarily standing/walking environment
Utilize and understand robotic automation systems (basic level)
Required Qualifications:
Active Pharmacist license in good standing in the State of New Jersey
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a licensed Pharmacist
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and general navigation of Windows-based systems
Ability to perform internet searches and manage electronic communication
Availability to work the specified shifts and flexible hours as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in a retail pharmacy, hospital, or managed care setting
1+ year of experience in a fulfillment or mail order pharmacy environment
Prior experience in Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) or managed care
