We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Medical Director to join our team, providing high-quality medical care to residents of skilled nursing facilities. This remote role offers the flexibility to work from home with a required visit to facilities in Wellsville, NY at least twice a month.

Responsibilities:
As a Medical Director, you will play a key role in ensuring the well-being of our residents by providing expert medical guidance and support to skilled nursing facilities. Your specific duties include:
Medical Director Services:
Provide consultation to residents in accordance with all applicable policies and regulations, ensuring compliance with relevant federal, state, and local laws, including Title 42, Section 483.75(i) of the Code of Federal Regulations.
Advise the Facility Administrator on concerns and opportunities regarding the scope of services, care programs, medical equipment, and staffing needs.
Support the development of future resident care programs and improvements.
Additional Responsibilities:
Be available 24/7 for emergency consultations.
Attend monthly Quality Assurance (QA) and/or Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) meetings for at least 10 months of the year.
Collaborate with the team to create clinical pathways aimed at improving resident care.
Assist the facility in marketing and outreach efforts, as needed.
Work alongside attending physicians to ensure residents receive the highest quality of care.
Position Details:
Location: Remote, with travel to Wellsville, NY facilities at least 2 times per month.
Type: 1099 Contractor Role.
Commitment: Approximately 8 hours per month for Medical Director duties, with additional hours as needed for meetings and emergency consultations.
Qualifications:
Board-certified physician with experience in long-term care or post-acute settings preferred.
Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and the ability to navigate complex clinical environments.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a commitment to patient-centered care.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
