Description Robert Half is partnering with an exciting, growing estate planning firm in Oxnard that is seeking a bilingual legal assistant. This is an entry level role for someone with professional experience looking to transition to law. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with an experienced attorney while gaining valuable training in estate planning processes. Responsibilities: - Assist in drafting estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and living trusts, under the guidance of the attorney. - Manage client communications, scheduling, and follow-ups to ensure smooth interactions and timely service. - Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date. - Use case management and CRM software to track tasks, deadlines, and client information efficiently. - Provide administrative support to the attorney, including calendar management and preparing meeting materials. - Handle basic billing functions and ensure accurate records of client invoices. - Translate documents and assist Spanish-speaking clients, as needed. - Participate in training sessions to develop expertise in estate planning processes. - Collaborate with the team to improve office workflows and enhance client satisfaction. Requirements - At least 1 year of experience in an office environment, preferably in a legal setting. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and case management software. - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including fluency in Spanish for translations. - Comfort with technology and willingness to learn new legal software tools. - Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving. - Ability to work on-site in Oxnard, California, with a courteous demeanor. - Paralegal certification or related training is a plus but not required.
