OVERVIEW

The Sustainment Test and Evaluation Engineer will support a MILSATCOM Program Management Office (PMO) within the US Space Forces (USSF), Space Systems Command (SSC) at Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), CO. We are looking for an innovative, creative, and highly motivated individual to provide test and evaluation and terminal operations on a diverse set of strategic and tactical MILSATCOM systems and infrastructure.

The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the Air Forces Space and Missiles System Center. We support the Air Forces acquisition of state of the art Military Satellite Communications systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nations warfighters. We seek technical individuals who will thrive in a highly collaborative work environment of small teams, using the most modern tools and methodologies to tacklechallenges of integrating complex space and ground communications systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, plan, coordinate, execute testing and provide terminal operations support on the Family of Beyond LineofSight Terminals (FABT), Mission Planning Subsystem (MPSS), Air Force Command Post Terminal (AFCPT), Time Distribution Subsystem Pre Processor (TDSPP), Milstar Messaging System
• (MMS), Global Broadcast Service (GBS), Ground Multiband Terminal (GMT),various other systems, subsystems and MILSATCOM devices.
• Provide engineering and technicianlevel support for each of the above systems, including integration, communication circuit troubleshooting, and systemlevel anomaly resolution
• Identify and isolate software or hardware defects to evaluate/assess system modifications for shortfalls or interoperability issues and provide technical assessments to the client with regards to the modifications
• Author and deliver technical documentation including test plans, test procedures, system configuration diagrams, engineering studies, technical white papers, and test reports
• Travel: approximately 10%

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or equivalent technical discipline
• Knowledge of DoD mission system sustainment
• Must be a motivated, selfstarter capable of autonomous onthejob learning/improvement
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent written, verbal communications and presentation skills
• Ability to understand DoD/USAF test processes and documentation
• Ability to understand working with military or DoD civilian clients and managing professional relationships
• Ability to understand MILSATCOM equipment and troubleshooting
• You must be authorized to work in the US and able to obtain and maintain aSecret security clearance

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) Certification (i.e. ASEP, CSEP, ESEP)
• Specific experience operating or maintaining the following: MPSS, FABT, AFCPT, TDSPP, MMS, GMT, GBS Receive Suites, cryptographic equipment (e.g., KIV7M, ANDVT, KGV11, KG250), or related infrastructure and/or support equipment
• Be able to attain a TS/SCI clearance
