Job Title : IT Project Manager (Agile/Scrum)

Duration: 12 Months

Location: 700 Governors Drive, Pierre, South Dakota 57501

Note: This is a Remote Role.

Job Description :

The IT Project Manager (Agile/Scrum) will be responsible for managing the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects with a focus on Agile methodologies (Scrum). This role will involve coordinating and leading teams through the entire project lifecycle while ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budgets. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills while fostering a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and manage IT projects using Agile/Scrum methodologies, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, developers, testers, and stakeholders to ensure project goals are clearly defined and met.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Track project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure project deliverables align with quality standards and meet customer requirements.
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement through iterative processes and Agile practices.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to communicate project requirements, updates, and risks.
  • Create and maintain project documentation, including status reports, project timelines, and post-project evaluations.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to team members to facilitate self-organizing teams and encourage ownership of deliverables.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring proper allocation of resources and minimizing variances.
  • Prepare and present reports to stakeholders and senior management on project status, issues, and risks.
  • Ensure that Agile best practices are followed across all project phases, promoting Agile adoption within the organization.

Required Qualifications :

  • 7+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager, with a focus on Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of Agile principles and practices (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar platforms.
  • Experience working in both technical and business environments, ensuring alignment with business needs and goals.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
