What To Expect
Consider before submitting an application:

This position is expected to start May 2025 and continue through the entire Summer term (i.e. through August/September 2025) or into Fall 2025 if available. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time and on-site, for most internships.

International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.

The Role

System integration team is looking for an amazing intern who is passionate about our mission to accelerate the transition to sustainable energy. As a system integration and test automation intern, you will support hardware/firmware integration and test automation of the next generation energy & EV charger products.

What You'll Do

Support hardware/firmware integration and system testing of Tesla Energy Products including high power grid-connect batteries, EV chargers and solar productsHands-on testing, debugging, and troubleshooting on real hardwareSupport firmware validation and regression testing at the full system levelDevelop test automation scripts in PythonDesign and implement next generation test systems, i.e. fault injection setup and multiple asset integration

What You'll Bring

Pursuing degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or related fieldsUnderstanding of electrical engineering principles; ability to read & understand schematics and build basic electrical systemsExperienced in testing and troubleshooting electrical systems including the use of lab tools such as digital multimeters, and oscilloscopesExperience with Python, C/C++Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skillsComfortable working with high voltage and high-power systemsInterest or experience working with batteries, power electronics, or renewable energyParticipation on electromechanical systems projects

Expected Compensation

$20.00 - $50.00/hour + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
