Schedule for the Insurance Coordinator:
Monday - Friday: 8AM - 5PM
Saturday: 8AM - 1PM
*Team is to be at the office 30 minutes prior to start time.
Roles & Responsibilities of the Insurance Coordinator:
Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility, maintaining up-to-date records.
Communicate effectively with insurance providers to obtain the most accurate insurance information for patients
Enter all insurance details into patient accounts in our dental software - DSN
Maintain accurate financial records using DSN software, ensuring data integrity.
Handle volume breakdowns of insurance verifications
Stay updated on dental insurance policies and procedures, handle patient inquiries professionally, and collaborate with team members for smooth operations and patient satisfaction.
Requirements of the Insurance Coordinator:
Strong background in dental billing, with a clear understanding of direct contracts, umbrella plans, and shared networks.
Knowledge of insurance guidelines, limitations, and medical billing experience is a plus but not required.
Proven experience managing dental insurance verification and processing, preferably within a dental or healthcare office.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with both patients and insurance companies.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Task-oriented, with a track record of efficiently managing various dental insurance types.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
