Natalie Lue with Robert Half is recruiting for an HR Manager . This is a full-time permanent role based in San Francisco with a hybrid/onsite schedule.
About the Role
This role encompasses HR functions that are critical to the smooth operation of our firm, from maintaining compliance to employee relations and performance management. You'll thrive on building strong relationships with staff, ensuring their well-being, and supporting strategic HR functions tailored to a legal-services environment.
Responsibilities
Employee Relations and Well-Being
+ Actively check in with staff, fostering a supportive environment to ensure team members feel heard and valued.
+ Maintain positive employee relationships and resolve issues promptly to support workplace satisfaction and retention
Policy and Handbook Management
+ Manage, update, and enforce the firm's Employee Handbook to ensure alignment with best practices, current employment laws, and established firm policies.
+ Collaborate with the Management Committee and other stakeholders for policy updates and approvals.
+ Ensure accessibility and usability of the handbook for all employees.
Performance Evaluation Program
+ Maintain and actively manage performance evaluation processes tailored to attorneys, staff, and partners.
+ Manage systems like Microsoft Forms to ensure seamless execution of reviews.
HR Administration and Compliance
+ Oversee HR functions specific to legal firms, ensuring adherence to industry-standard policies and procedures.
+ Build and maintain strong collaborations with the firm's Hiring Committees in talent acquisition processes.
Benefits Administration
+ Liaise with the Benefits Broker to ensure comprehensive employee benefits administration.

Requirements
+ 5+ years Professional Services or Law Firm Experience: Familiarity with the unique HR needs of a legal environment.
+ Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
+ Proficiency in managing employee handbooks and policy updates.
+ Experience with performance evaluations, ideally in a multi-tiered structure like law firms.
+ Demonstrated ability to foster employee engagement and satisfaction.
+ Tech-savvy, with proficiency in HR tools and systems (e.g., Microsoft Forms).
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
+ Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
