Job Title: Housekeeper

Location: Villanova, PA

Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Housekeeper to join a household in Villanova, PA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our home, assisting with meal preparation, and ensuring a welcoming environment for our family, which includes a dog and a cat.

Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and Maintenance:

  • Thoroughly clean and maintain all areas of the 8,000 sq ft home, with a focus on the daily-used room.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms and kitchen areas.
  • Change bed linens and make beds.
  • Manage laundry, including washing, drying, ironing, and folding clothes.

• Organization:

  • Organize closets, pantry, and refrigerator to maintain a tidy and efficient environment.
  • Rotate and arrange seasonal clothing and items.
  • Declutter and organize common areas and storage spaces.

• Meal Preparation:

  • Assist with daily meal prep, including chopping vegetables, marinating, and preparing ingredients.
  • Follow specific dietary guidelines and preferences as directed by the family.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen before and after meal preparation.

• Pet Care:

  • Ensure the dog and cat are cared for, including feeding, providing fresh water, and cleaning pet areas.
  • Occasionally walk the dog and clean the litter box for the cat.

• Other Duties:

  • Run errands as needed, such as grocery shopping and picking up dry cleaning.
  • Notify homeowners of any necessary repairs or maintenance needs.
  • Maintain an inventory of household supplies and restock as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfortable with meal preparation and basic cooking tasks.
• Reliable, trustworthy, and discreet.
• Love for animals and willingness to care for pets.
• Physically fit and able to handle the demands of cleaning a large home.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
