Job Description

1. Banner Elk Cafe in Banner Elk, NC is looking for one host/hostess to join our 79 person strong team. We are located on 324 Shawneehaw Ave S. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and reliable and available to work day shifts. Open Availability is a plus.
2. Availability: Must be able to work during peak business : Weekends and Holidays excluding (Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day)

Responsibilities

• Answering the phones and place take out orders, put take out orders together making change and cash them out (usually tipped on take-out)
• Greeting customers and making them feel welcome letting them know where to go while waiting on table
• use Ipad for wait list and Estimating wait time for guests
• Seating guests in an organized manner keeping up with rotation to ensure best customer service
• Keeping front area clean and sanitize menus
• occasionally checking on customers & refilling drinks.

Qualifications

• Friendly and outgoing personality
• Ability to listen and communicate effectively
• Strong organizational and motivational skills
