Job Description

S&K Building Services is expanding our team across the nation and looking for Apprentices to join our training program to become High-Rise Window Cleaning Technicians!

This role offers an excellent opportunity to learn the skills needed for professional window cleaning on high-rise buildings while working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. As an Apprentice, you will be guided by experienced professionals and receive hands-on training to develop the skills necessary for a successful career in high-rise window cleaning. 

The Apprentice Program is a 4-week training program where you will work 20-30 hours per week. Once you become fully trained and authorized, you will have the opportunity to transition from part time to full time employment, including employee benefits!

This position will support both Central Wisconsin Window Cleaning, an S&K acquired company -AND- Madison Window Cleaning, an S&K acquired company.

What You'll Do 

  • Assist in cleaning windows on high-rise buildings 
  • Learn and apply proper cleaning techniques and the use of specialized tools, including squeegees, ropes, lifts, and other safety equipment. 
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure personal safety and the safety of others on site (including the use of harnesses, lanyards, and fall protection systems). 
  • Work alongside experienced technicians and learn how to perform assessments on window cleaning tasks. 
  • Support in setting up scaffolding or rope access equipment as needed for each job. 
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and in good working condition. 
  • Report any damage to windows or building surfaces to the supervisor. 
  • Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction by providing thorough, professional cleaning services. 
  • Participate in ongoing safety training and development to meet industry standards. 

Who You Are 

  • No prior experience in high-rise window cleaning is required, but a willingness to learn and work at heights is essential. 
  • You are 18+ years of age. 
  • You are able to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and wind. 
  • You have a strong attention to detail and a passion for quality work. 
  • You have the physical ability to perform manual labor, including climbing ladders, working at heights, and carrying equipment. 
  • You are able to lift up to 60lbs. 
  • You are comfortable scaling and utilizing ladders from 5ft to 40ft in height (safety training provided). 
  • You are comfortable working on scaffolds, aerial lifts, and ropes (training will be provided). 
  • You are able to follow safety protocols and take direction from experienced team members. 
  • You have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team. 
  • You have reliable transportation to/from work and job sites. 
  • You are willing and able to travel between our Madison and Milwaukee branches, and the surrounding areas.
  • You are able and willing to complete a 2-week training program; 20-30 hours per week.

Nice to Have

  • You have a valid driver’s license (preferred but not required). 
  • You are bilingual (English & Spanish).
