The Department of Medicine (DOM) Internal Medicine Residency Program is recruiting a Graduate Medical Education (GME) Program Manager to support the day-to-day administration of the residency program and ensure program compliance within established accreditation regulations. The Internal Medicine Residency Program includes more than 100 post-graduate trainees (residents) and is supported by an innovative and highly skilled team of staff and faculty.
Under the direction of the GME Administrator, the Program Manager will work collaboratively with the residency education staff team, the Residency Program Director, multiple Associate Program Directors, Chief Residents, and the DOM Assistant Director of Education. They will collaborate closely with the curriculum Chief to facilitate learning sessions for residents, manage and facilitate Clinical Competency Committee (CCC) meetings in partnership with the Associate Program Director who chairs the CCC, and manage evaluation delivery/updates/completion tracking. The Program Manager will assist with developing and maintaining the educational quality of the training program and ensure that GME policies and procedures, and other regulatory requirements are met. The person in this position will interface regularly with faculty, trainees, and other staff in the DOM and GME office. The position requires someone who is self-directed with a high degree of professionalism, outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, flexibility, and the ability to prioritize multiple competing deadlines. The individual working in this position will benefit from prior experience working for an academic medical institution, interest in and knowledge of Graduate Medical Education, and experience managing projects, curricular activities, and/or events for adult learners and faculty.Diversity is a source of strength, creativity, and innovation for UW-Madison. Bachelor's Degree
Preferably a degree in biological sciences, health care administration, education administration, public health, or related field.
Required:
- Administrative support experience, to include some project coordination/management, preferably in a health care environment or academic medical center
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite and highly adept at using software applications such as video conferencing platforms, presentation programs, calendaring systems, etc.

This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.Ongoing/Renewable
Minimum $75,000 ANNUAL (12 months)
Depending on Qualifications
The starting salary for the position is $75,000 but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
