Join our growing Global Mobility Tax Practice as aGlobal Mobility Expatriate Tax Associatein Houston, TX. In this role, you will have the opportunity to build a solid foundation in the field of expatriate tax services and contribute to the success of our clients. This role offers valuable experience and growth potential within our Global Mobility Expatriate Tax team in Houston.  


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in individual tax returns, equalization calculations, and miscellaneous tax forms for inbound expatriate employees and foreign investors, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Assist in U.S. payroll reporting, withholding for wages paid to expatriate employees for accuracy including annual compensation statements.
  • Assist in U.S. payroll reporting and withholding for expatriate employees.
  • Assist in preparing individual income tax returns for high-net-worth individuals with offshore investments and holdings.
  • Provide support to senior team members as they advise clients in various industries on domestic and international tax matters.
  • Participate in training opportunities to further develop your skills and knowledge within the field of expatriate tax services.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 0-2 years of experience in Global Mobility Expatriate Tax with a national or regional accounting firm or boutique firm focused on expatriate tax matters.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is generally required; J.D., LL.M. in Taxation, and/or Master's in Taxation (MST) from an accredited college/university is preferred.
  • Strong planning, research, writing and communication skills.
