We’re growing and looking for a motivated Estimator who’s ready to play a key role in that growth by helping clients bring their vision to life.

Position Overview

The Estimator plays a vital role in the success of Prestige Painting by providing accurate, detailed, and timely cost estimates that support efficient project planning and execution. This position is dedicated to the technical and analytical aspects of estimating while ensuring each proposal reflects the true scope of work, material and labor requirements, and company standards.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of painting systems and construction practices, and the ability to interpret architectural drawings and specifications. They will collaborate closely with project managers, field supervisors, and company leadership to develop precise estimates and maintain consistency across all bids.

Key Responsibilities

· Review and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine accurate quantities and cost factors.

· Prepare detailed and itemized estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.

· Maintain organized records of bid documents, takeoffs, and revisions throughout the estimating process.

· Collaborate with internal departments to ensure estimates align with project goals, budgets, and company standards.

· Update and maintain estimating databases, pricing resources, and historical cost information.

· Assist in post-bid reviews and handoffs to project management for awarded projects.

· Ensure all estimates adhere to company policies, procedures, and industry best practices

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience as an estimator in the painting or construction industry (preferred)
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with estimating software and takeoff tools.
• Familiarity with paints, coatings, and finishes (preferred not required)
• Strong financial literacy and understanding of job costing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective time management and organizational abilities.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to receive and apply constructive feedback.
