Inventory Planner

REDI is an Adult Use Cannabis Dispensary that operates a retail location in the City of Newton, Massachusetts. REDI operates in a highly regulated environment and must be oriented toward regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the immediate supervision of the Director of Operations, the General Manger will be responsible for the oversight and control of cannabis inventory within their dispensary, as well as managing daily employee workflow.

Authority and Supervision:

  • Reports directly to the General Manger

Pay Range: $25.00 - $27.00/hour

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains organization of inventory within the facility and assists in the maintenance of the digital and physical tracking of all Cannabis inventory within the dispensary.
  • Keep accurate and current records with close attention to detail when performing job functions
  • Responsible for training and accountability of all inventory leads and IFS.
  • Monthly 1:1s with all inventory staff, to check on performance and overall success in their role.
  • Assist in setting up and overseeing weekly inventory counts and audits within the facility along with the inventory coordinator. Investigate inventory discrepancies or issues until fully resolved
  • Serve as the lead point of contact for the Inventory Coordinator or DOO in managing the digital and physical tracking of all retail inventory in the facility
  • Provide coverage in lieu of Fulfillment Specialist/Lead/RSA staffing and filling jobs including, cash-handling, point-of sale service, filling counter service orders, filling pre-orders, answering phones, and other duties not listed above.
  • Ensure that data info for online-ordering, in-store menu, METRC, and back office is performed accurately. Input all data required for cannabis product entry into our point-of-sale software with all regulatory-required fields populated including but not limited to expiration, flower equivalency/usable, quantity.
  • Assist with requirements to remain compliant to all applicable regulations as it relates to receiving, storing, dispensing, and training around Cannabis products
  • Always adhere to state and company policies, following appropriate Standard Operating Procedure according to assigned task
  • Serves as a resource for dispensary staff concerning inventory and storage in the vault rooms
  • Availability must be flexible to meet the needs of stores and business.
  • Respond timely on urgent matters. 24/48 hours ideally.
  • Assist the Inventory Coordinator with staff training as needed
  • Responsible for delegating tasks to Dispensary Associates to maintain a compliant and clean facility
  • Uphold all standards and procedures pertaining to facility cleanliness, such as cleaning of supplies and workspaces.
  • Assist with other tasks or responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ Years of Cannabis Inventory Experience
  • 1+ Year Supervisory Experience Preferred
  • High school diploma required
  • Store Management Experience preferred
  • Passion for and knowledgeable about Cannabis
  • Microsoft Office skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a team environment
  • Ability to work as a team and independently and to carry out assignments to completion.
  • Excellent time management skills; effectively plan and prioritize
  • Ability to focus; attention to detail
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:

The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hand to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear. Employees are exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 or more pounds and regularly move up to 25 pounds.
