We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Dialysis Nurse Manager to oversee the daily operations of a dialysis center. Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Management
Supervise and coordinate patient care in the dialysis center.
Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor treatment effectiveness.
Respond to critical situations, adjusting care plans as needed and notifying physicians.
Oversee patient schedules and assign staff based on patient needs and staff expertise.
Manage patient admissions, discharges, and treatment plans to ensure quality care.
Lead vascular access monitoring and anemia management initiatives.
Conduct routine patient rounding to address concerns and improve care.
Organize and manage interdisciplinary care conferences.
Ensure accurate and timely medical record documentation.
Operational & Quality Management
Participate in Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) projects.
Ensure compliance with infection control policies and procedures.
Review incident reports and analyze trends to improve patient safety.
Maintain compliance with dialysis network regulations and standards.
Serve as an active member of the governing body for center operations.
Staff Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and support a team of healthcare professionals.
Oversee staff scheduling and coverage to ensure smooth operations.
Conduct monthly staff meetings and performance evaluations.
Provide ongoing training and policy updates to ensure compliance.
Financial & Facility Oversight
Monitor and manage operational budgets and cost control measures.
Ensure proper inventory management and supply utilization.
Maintain a safe and well-functioning facility and communicate needs to technical services.
Customer Service & Culture
Foster a positive, patient-centered environment.
Build strong relationships with patients, families, staff, and medical teams.
Address and resolve patient and staff concerns promptly and professionally.
What You Bring
Experience: At least 1 year as a Registered Nurse (RN) and 1 year of hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis experience (3 years preferred).
Education: BSN preferred; CNN/CDN certification is a plus.
Licensure: Active RN license in the state of New York.
Certifications: Current CPR certification.
Leadership Skills: Experience in management, supervision, or training preferred.
Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills, including Outlook and Word.
Key Competencies: Critical thinking, effective delegation, quality management, strategic planning, and strong knowledge of state and federal ESRD regulations.
