Summary Our Child Care Center is growing in its enrollment and is looking for a full-time and part time Infant caregivers. We are currently looking for an infant room caregiver and a 1-year-old room caregiver. We are a childcare facility licensed by the State of CT and are looking to add staff to our team! Duties Provide care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old and meet basic needs such as feeding, diapering, toilet training etc.
Has the ability to create and follow through with a daily curriculum using a wide range of caregiving methods that include areas of development such as sensory, gross motor skills, fine motor skills, science/math activities, construction etc.
Can follow a daily routine and functional daily schedule. Consistency is key!
An ability and strategies to implement classroom management to foster positive behavior.
Requirements Our full-time staff must be available to work 4/ten-hour days with an additional day off during the week as well as nights and weekends off! Part time staff may work 1/10hr day, 2/10hr days or 3/10hr days.
The hours are either 7-5:30 or 7:30-6, depending on the position obtained.
Qualifications we are looking for include the love of children, a warm nurturing person with a positive attitude, a creative mind who loves attention to detail and a team player.
Great attendance is a key feature we look for in our staff so that we can keep the daily routines, ratios and schedules structured from day to day.
We are looking for team members that are interested in long term employment since that is what is best for the children.
You must complete a background check with fingerprints, have a complete physical with TB test upon employment.
Reliable transportation.
Complete required hours of professional development as needed.
Nice To Haves A complete and current background check is great, but we can help you get that done.
First Aid & CPR is always a plus (but not necessary, we can help you obtain that)
We do accept Care 4 Kids funding for our families so if you have completed the CCEI course through CCAC that's great! If not, we can also help you obtain that training.
Prior experience working in a licensed center with an understanding of our OEC licensing regulations and requirements.
