Boston Legacy FC (the “Club”) is Boston’s new professional women’s soccer team, set to begin play in the National Women’s Soccer League in 2026. The Role

Boston Legacy FC is seeking a driven individual to join our Data & Analytics strategy team. In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping strategic decisions by turning complex data into clear, actionable insights. You’ll work closely with departments across the organization—especially Ticketing and Sponsorship—to ensure insights are well-communicated, understood, and directly aligned with key business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain regression models and other statistical tools to support decision-making on projections
  • Analyze large, high-volume datasets from various sources (e.g., CRM data, team performance metrics, ticketing data, etc.) to identify narrative trends and actionable insights
  • Build high-quality visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights to leadership
  • Work with R or Python to clean, process, and model data for internal projects
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure findings are actionable and clearly understood
  • Contribute to ad hoc analyses and reports as needed throughout the year
  • Support projects focused on helping improve revenues across ticketing and sponsorship, and find business efficiencies
  • Build financial models to inform pricing strategy and revenue forecasting
  • Develop and present recommendations to department heads leadership

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in a data analyst or consulting role (including internships, co-ops, or fellowships) is a plus
  • Previous sports industry experience is a plus
  • Demonstrated experience with R or Python for statistical analysis and modeling (e.g., through coursework, research, or personal projects)
  • Strong grasp of linear regression, logistic regression, and other fundamental statistical techniques
  • Ability to work with and clean large datasets, including structured and unstructured data
  • Proficient in data visualization tools
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analyses into understandable insights
  • Familiarity with Excel is expected, but advanced data modeling skills beyond Excel are essential
  • Knowledge of working with a CRM or in an SQL database is a plus
