Position Overview

- **Role:** Customer Care Representative
- **Location:** 100% Remote
- **Compensation:** $18.00 per hour
- **Schedule:** Monday - Friday, 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM, with rotating weekends

Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Care Representative, you will:

- Provide exceptional telephone service and support to customers and claim-related parties.
- Respond to customer inquiries politely, promptly, and accurately.
- Enter and maintain necessary claim information in our systems.
- Communicate effectively with technical personnel regarding inquiries on existing claims.
- Supply pre- and post-loss materials to customers as needed.
- Conduct follow-up calls to gather any missing information from insureds, claimants, or agents.
- Pass all internal and external phone audits and meet call volume goals.
- Adhere to escalation guidelines as outlined.
- Navigate multiple systems to access and pull policies into the claim file.
- Update policy data accurately in our systems based on the information retrieved.

Work Environment

- This role involves extended periods of computer use for data entry, research, and virtual meetings.
- Maintaining focus and productivity while working long hours in front of a screen is essential.

Qualifications

**Education / Licensing:**

- High School Diploma or equivalent; higher education is a plus.
- Fluent in English and Spanish is required.
- 2+ years of customer service experience preferred.

**Technical Skills:**

- Strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive situations and information.
- Ability to work independently and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

**Physical Abilities:**

- Ability to sit for long periods and work indoors in controlled conditions.
- Capability to lift files and boxes weighing up to approximately 20 pounds.
- Prolonged use of a keyboard and mouse, with exposure to a computer screen.
- Willingness to travel as needed and ability to work staggered shifts.

Salary Transparency

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are pleased to share that the base salary for this position is $18.00 per hour, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This role is also eligible for an annual performance raise if all guidelines are met. Your salary will be determined based on geographic location, skills, education, and experience. We prioritize pay equality and consider internal equity among current team members as a final part of any offer. Please note that the salary range mentioned is the full base salary range for the role, with hiring at the maximum being uncommon to allow for future salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package to support our employees.
