Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Crew Carpenter to join a well-established construction and remodeling company . They are a luxury remodel and design company who offer everything from kitchens and bathrooms to basements, additions, and cabinets. All job sites are in Dane county – every crew member meets on site and returns home every night.  This is a contract-to-hire position with an immediate start date. Most of the work will be performed indoors, making it an ideal opportunity as winter approaches.

Pay: Up to $25/hour based on experience

Hours:  Start time depends on the job site – start between 7am-8am and finish between 3:30pm-5pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Demolition: Safely and efficiently dismantle existing structures and remove old materials in preparation for remodeling projects.
• Trim Work: Measure, cut, and install trim, molding, and other finish carpentry elements with precision.
• Framing Support: Assist with framing walls and other structural elements according to project specifications.
• Material Management: Organize and manage materials on-site, ensuring tools and supplies are readily accessible for the team.
• Site Maintenance: Keep work areas clean and organized, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the existing crew, following their guidance and learning company techniques to enhance skills.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years proven experience in carpentry, particularly in demolition and trim work.
• Experience with remodeling, trim or wood floors would be a huge plus!
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of safety practices and regulations in construction.
