Job Description

Reporting to the Compliance & Privacy Officer, the Compliance Analyst (Contractor) provides temporary support to the Compliance function during the Compliance Audit Manager’s leave. This role helps ensure the organization maintains ongoing adherence to federal and state healthcare regulations - including HIPAA - and complies with FIRM and SHIN-NY Privacy and Security Policies.

The Compliance Analyst will work closely with the Senior Manager of Compliance, internal stakeholders, and designated contacts at participating organizations. Responsibilities include supporting compliance monitoring, documentation, reporting, privacy inquiries, and special projects. This role requires professionalism, strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage confidential information with the highest integrity.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required - preferably in a healthcare-related field.
  • CHC, CHPC, or other relevant HCCA certifications preferred.
  • Background in healthcare compliance, privacy, or related regulatory fields required.
  • Familiarity with relevant federal and state healthcare laws, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of SHIN-NY (State Health Information Network for New York) policies and procedures preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of healthcare compliance and privacy concepts and practices.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity.
  • Experience providing service to a high volume of healthcare customers or partners in New York’s healthcare ecosystem.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to contribute to process improvement initiatives and meet established deadlines.
