Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Salary and Benefits

• $255,000 Salary

Responsibilities

• Full-time, Monday to Friday schedule with no call
• Administer and manage anesthesia for a variety of surgical procedures
• Conduct pre-operative assessments and develop anesthesia care plans
• Monitor patients' vital signs and well-being throughout procedures
• Provide post-anesthesia care and assess patient recovery
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on anesthesia risks and procedures
• Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with hospital policies
• Document all cases in Meditech EMR system
• Work within three OR suites, an endoscopy suite, and an OB unit
• Perform anesthesia for general surgery, orthopedics, podiatry, OB/GYN, and pediatric patients over two years of age
• Must be proficient in endoscopic procedures and labor epidurals

Requirements

• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) certification by the NBCRNA
• Licensed to practice as a CRNA in the state of Maine
• Master’s degree in Nurse Anesthesia or equivalent program
• Strong knowledge of anesthesia equipment, techniques, and safety protocols
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
• Ability to perform effectively in emergency situations
