Job Description

SHYAS Health in Kinston, NC is looking for a team of certified peer support specialist - Kinston NC to join our team. We are located on 905 North Queen Street. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and hard-working.

Responsibilities

1. Provide one on one and group interventions for your assigned caseload.
2. CPSS is responsible for ensuring recovery-focused service that allows individuals the opportunity to learn to manage their own recovery and advocacy process through interventions of Peer Support staff that enhance the development of natural supports, as well as coping and self-management skills. 
3. Obtain consumer signature on accountability log daily at the end of each session and Complete daily progress note and enter it into the EHR system within 24 hours of service for each person served/supported.
4. Ensure productivity (35 billable hours full-time staff & 20 billable hours part-time staff).
5. Ensure consumers on Team are attending Peer Support Group and they have Therapy weekly/bi-weekly.

Qualifications

• The peer support specialist must be certified as a peer support specialist (CPSS).
• The peer support specialist must have a GED/High School Diploma.
