The WCCO newsroom is a multi-platform environment, with a team of journalists focused on local news in and around Minnesota. We are Minnesota's news leader, publishing content on social media, digital platforms and on television broadcasts. WCCO’s News Internship Program is designed to provide experience for students pursuing careers in television broadcasting and digital storytelling. Interns have the opportunity to shadow and assist our staff to learn more about the television business, specifically Broadcast News.

Key Responsibilities:

• Approximately 50% of an intern's work involves shadowing different newsroom professionals, in order to learn about the different roles and responsibilities therein.
• Approximately 30% of an intern's time will be spent assisting with research for potential news stories.
• Approximately 20% of an intern's time will be spent working on a personal professional portfolio/resume reel.

Eligibility:

• Internships are available to students who will be Seniors or Master’s students in the fall of 2026. If you are a graduating Senior, please check our website for full-time job opportunities.
• You must be available to intern full-time (5 days a week/36-40 hours a week) for 10 weeks total starting in June.
• Interns will be required to work fully on-site for the duration of the program. Note: Paramount does not provide financial relocation support or housing stipends.
• Internships are paid at a competitive standard hourly rate (school credit is optional).
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.
• Employment eligibility to work with Paramount in the United States is required as the company does not engage in sponsorship for internships.

Additional Information

The hourly rate for this position is $21.0.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
